Modi-Shah Fail; Yeddyurappa To Resign After Dramatic Emotional Speech

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa will resign on Saturday, ahead of the trust vote in Karnataka Assembly two days after taking the oath, reports suggest.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not confident of winning the trust vote, which forced Yeddyurappa to consider resignation. Yeddyurappa is expected to make an emotional speech in the Assembly at 4 pm before resigning from the chief minister’s post.

The BJP has allegedly resorted to multiple dirty tricks to lure Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) [JD (S)] MLAs in order to win the trust vote in Karnataka Assembly. However, the efforts have fallen flat.

Earlier in the day, the Congress party has released three tapes allegedly by Yeddyurappa, Yeddyurappa’s son Vijayendra and G Janardhan Reddy, all three offering bribes and ministerial berths to Congress MLAs.
