A video going viral on social media shows an unidentified woman inciting a mob to attack students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Saket area of New Delhi.
Per the Bolta Hindustan report, on the night of February 15, a day after the Pulwama terror attack, a protest march was taken out by certain right-wing outfits. The march halted outside the Saket metro station, where the woman in the video labelled JNU students ‘traitors’ and said, “If I attack them, will you stand with me?” To which the crowd responds in affirmation.
The video, posted by Bolta Hindustan, shows a woman speaking on the mic and agitating the gathered crowd to physically attack students of the university.
Shockingly, the woman adds, “We don’t need guns, we can pick each of them up with our bare hands and thrash them.”

The JNU Student’s Union (JNUSU) has issued a statement requesting everyone “to stay calm and please feel free to contact JNUSU office bearers anytime, regarding anything”. The Union is of the view that all this was being done to malign and threaten the varsity which has been targeted by right-winger several times over the last five years. JNUSU has also decided to meet police officials and discuss the matter.
In the wake of the Pulwama terror attack that killed over 40 Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) jawans, violent protests have taken place across the country. There have been reports on violent attacks on vulnerable groups, especially Kashmiris living outside Kashmir, prompting the central government to ask states to ensure their safety.
It is unclear if any concrete action has been taken against the organisers of the march.
