In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency Varanasi, shopkeepers have made their disillusionment with the BJP apparent by putting up anti-BJP posters outside their stores.
A common slogan on such placards is “Ek hi bhool. Kamal ka phool” which roughly translates into “our only mistake has been voting for the BJP”.
Journalist Prashant Kumar shared the pictures on Twitter.

Furthermore, the placards have a message saying “Modi ji ek kaam karo. Pehle roti ka intezaam karo. Phir hum ko berozgaar karo.” (Modi ji, do us a favour. First ensure us our daily bread and then render us unemployed).
Varanasi will vote on May 19 in the final phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
