A woman reportedly attempted suicide with her two minor daughters outside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s residence on November 5. She alleged that despite several applications, the Raibareli police has not registered an FIR for the gangrape of her elder sister and the murder of her brother.
She alleged that since those involved in the crime are BJP leaders. “Gajadhar Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Satendra Singh, BJP district president RB Singh — all of them are involved. BJP district president RB Singh is a relative of Home Minister Rajnath Singh, which is why the FIR is not being registered,” she told reporters.
The video of the woman narrating her ordeal is now viral on social media.

She said that her sister was gangraped a few months ago and it has been a year since her brother’s murder. She added that she was running pillar-to-post to lodge an FIR in her brother’s murder, when her sister was gang-raped and murdered and that the police is allegedly not registering an FIR in both cases.
She said that she had been sitting outside the U.P. CM’s residence for 15 days. “We don’t have money, my children are hungry, what option do we have left besides killing ourselves? Back at our house, my daughter consumed poison on the the 24th (October), that’s when we came here (Lucknow) on the 25th (October) to seek justice. 15 days have passed, have we received justice?”
While the woman had reportedly poured kerosene on herself and her two daughters, the security officers present there caught hold of her before she could light a match. She was reportedly arrested by the police soon after.
She also said that her mother was also gangraped and murdered, and that BJP leaders were involved in that too. Her father was also murdered, she alleged. She said that demands for a CBI inquiry into her parents death have not been heard either.
