The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has claimed that Dalit voters are being forcefully stopped from reaching polling booths by the Uttar Pradesh police on Thursday.
ANI reported that the party has written to the Election Commission regarding the issue. According to the BSP, the police was taking the action at the behest of “higher-ups”.
BSP writes to EC: We are receiving info from various polling stations that BSP voters specially dalits are being stopped from reaching polling booths by use of force by UP police. All this is apparently being done on diktat of higher-ups. Immediate intervention is required.

Times Now reported that BSP national secretary Satish Chandra Mishra has also complained to the DGP of U.P. police.
