Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) announced a detailed seat distrubution on Thursday, February 21 for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Mayawati-led BSP will be fighting on 38 seats whereas Akhilash Yadav’s SP will contest on 37 seats in the state.
SP will be putting up its candidate from Varanasi, which is currently Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency. Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and Lucknow seats have also gone to SP.
There are 80 Lok Sabha Seats in Uttar Pradesh.
