Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday launched a veiled attack on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying some government officials are abusing their position and torturing the same Party workers who ensured the BJP came to power in UP.
Maurya tweeted: “Party workers and supporters are working hard work day and night. The government was not created to enjoy the pleasure of power but serve the people with sincerity … Some officers are misusing the office and torturing those workers (who work hard).”

Yogi Adityanath’s MPs are not happy with him it seems. On Tuesday, four MLAs wrote a letter to the government, urging for a boost to development projects in Badaun. The letter spoke about how the government had not done much compared with the development that took place under Samajwadi Party’s Dharmendra Yadav.
Earlier, Swami Prasad Maurya, a Cabinet minister in the Yogi government, had praised the system of governance when BSP supremo Mayawati was the CM. While speaking to TV channel News18, the Padrauna MLA had said that officials (under the Yogi dispensation) “don’t listen to government orders”.
