The ‘benchmark’ price for negotiating the Rs 59,000 crore Rafale deal was increased from 5.2 bn Euro to 8.2 bn Euro, shockingly ‘discovered’ from the earlier aborted MMRCA bid against government rules. It was objected to by three senior defence ministry officials.
