Union Minister of External Affairs and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Sushma Swaraj, reportedly told reporters in Indore that she has made up her mind to not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

A seven-time Member of Parliament and a three-time Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Haryana, Swaraj currently is a Member of Parliament from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. From 2009-2014, Swaraj was the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. In 2014 general elections, Swaraj had won from Vidisha constituency with a huge margin of 400,000 votes.
