Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated the new Deen Dayal Upadhyaya railway station, which was previously known as Mughalsarai junction. He used the opportunity to attack opposition parties and asked people to vote for his party in spite of the fact that it was a government event.
Former BJP member Yashwant Sinha lashed out at Shah for destroying the finest values of our democracy. “Did it behove Amit Shah to ask for votes for BJP at this function?” Sinha asked.

The station was painted saffron last month for the inauguration event.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and other senior BJP leaders were also present.
