The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) government in Rajasthan has allocated a whopping Rs 7.23 crore only for transportation of attendees to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Jaipur on July 7.
Ironically, the Vasundhara Raje dispensation has arranged 5,579 buses to bring over 2.5 lakh “beneficiaries” of Modi government’s schemes, from different parts of the state to the rally, Hindustan Times reported.
Modi will be interacting with these individuals and launch a Smart City project. The state government has also reportedly trained five “beneficiaries” on how to answer Modi’s questions “positively”.
According to the Opposition, the people who are being brought to the rally as beneficiaries are BJP supporters and workers.
Congress leader and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said on Thursday, “The intention of the BJP behind gathering a crowd of BJP workers in the name of beneficiaries in an election year is to win the election by hook or by crook.”
