New Delhi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that instead of acknowledging the challenges the country faced today, he was diverting our attention and saying “our problems exist in our imaginations only”. Rahul said that Modi is not fighting corruption, “he is corruption”.

Speaking at the Congress plenary, the Gandhi scion also said that there were just two visions before the world today — American and Chinese. “My aim is to present an Indian vision to the world,” he said.

Rahul didn’t spare BJP president Amit Shah either, saying, “People will accept a man accused of murder as the president of the party, but they will never ever accept the same in the Congress Party because they hold Congress in the highest regard.”

Addressing the youth of the country, Congress president promised that he will fill the grand old party with youngsters. “I will break the communication barriers between our grassroots workers and leaders,” he added.

Here are top quotes from Rahul Gandhi’s speech:

1) To every youngster in India, we are your instrument. The Congress Party belongs to you. We want to open our doors to your talent your bravery and your energy. This country is struggling and it needs you.

2) We paid 570 Crore per plane and PM Modi paid 1670 Crore for the same plane. He paid 1100 Crore extra per plane. Forget fighter planes, you can’t trust such a man to buy vegetables. Modi is not fighting corruption Modi is corruption.

3) The name Modi symbolises the collusion between India’s biggest businessmen and the Prime Minister. Modi gives another Modi Rs 30,000 crore from your money, and in return, the other Modi gives him money to fight elections.

4) We were the fastest growing economy in the world. But today millions of youth face unemployment.

5) Gandhi spent 15 years in jail and died for the nation. But India must never forget that while our leaders slept on the floor in jail, Savarkar wrote a letter to the British begging for mercy and clemency.
