The MIT School administration in Pune’s Maeer area on Tuesday sent notes to parents specifying the colour of innerwear their daughter/daughters should wear to school.
The note written in the school dairies of the students states that girls should only be wearing white or skin colour innerwear. It also specifies the length of the skirts to be worn by the girls.
If that was not enough, the school has also declared that students will not be allowed to use washrooms except the timing which is specified.
The parents staged a protest against these unjustified rules laid down by the school authority on Wednesday, reported The Times of India.
The school authority said that strict action against the students and their parents will be taken if they do not abide by the rules.
Suchitra Karad Nagare, Executive director of MIT Group of Institute told ANI, “The intention to give such specific directives in the school diary was very pure. We had some experiences in the past which made us take this decision. We did not have any hidden agenda.”
