Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark about his genius suggestion that clouds would provide radar cover to Indian Air Force jets headed for Balakot strike set social media on fire.
In an interview to News Nation when journalist Peenaz Tyagi asked him about what transpired on the night of the airstrike, February 26, the PM said, “It was raining that night very heavily… We weren’t sure if we would be able to go or not… experts opined that we should change the day of the strike…I thought that there are clouds… there is rain… there is a benefit, it can provide us cover from radars. Then ultimately, I said, there are clouds, let’s go. ”

BJP Twitter handles eventually deleted the tweet that had quoted the PM. However, the damage was already done.
BJP’s twitter account got embarrassed and deleted the tweet.
But I’ll share the screenshot…Everyone already has a screenshot and video of it by now, no one can hide Modi’s narcissistic stupidness and lack of general intelligence anymore ???? pic.twitter.com/PGKQUspdn6

#EntireCloudCover has been trending on Twitter since then, with Twitteratis mocking the the PM’s ignorance in full swing. The hashtag is a jibe at PM Modi’s controversial ‘Entire Political Science’ degree.
Political leaders ripped into the PM’s ingenious solution in the face of actual experts weighing in on the matter. Some suggested the threat that such thinking poses to India’s national security.
Someone please tell him that radar is different from binoculars. Let’s wait till 23 May, Modi won’t be able to see BJP’s majority either with binoculars or with microscope. He would then need a radar to figure out where to escape from Delhi. #DeshKeDilMeiModi #Phase6 pic.twitter.com/7YMWE2q5Hj

Pakistani radar doesn’t penetrate clouds. This is an important piece of tactical information that will be critical when planning future air strikes. https://t.co/OBHwEJfGSW

PM #Modi risked the lives of our IAF pilots by authorising airstrikes in bad weather because he believes radars can’t detect planes in cloud cover. Would you vote for a man who compares our armed forces to playing video games?#VotingRound6 #Phase6

On PM Modi’s radar & clouds comment, it seems no one clarified for the PM how radars work. If that is the case, then it is a very serious national security issue. No laughing matter!

Modi ji, clouds do not affect radar but DID affect 6 Crystal Maze missiles the IAF’s fighters couldn’t launch that day. These were meant to beam back footage as they struck their targets. Perhaps the @IAF_MCC experts were right in wanting to postpone strikes. Why rush? https://t.co/vCMkIxuNtR

This is scary because this is India’s PM whose illiteracy is constantly exposed. pic.twitter.com/gSaYdQLAB8

Others found that humour is the only way to deal with the foolish remarks.
Slightly disappointed that no one has found a Radar Operator who agrees with Modi ji yet.

So now we know how our brave Wing Commander Abhinandan’s life was endangered. Because this genius with many years of Kho-Kho experience in shaakhas decided IAF’s war strategy. pic.twitter.com/Je3lMDEeFY

Modi says he preferred bad weather for the Balakot raid because cloud cover would protect planes from radar detection. And you guys make fun of Rahul Gandhi?

As per the Raw Wisdom of Sang Parivar’s Sun Tzu,
“Barish se radar signals geelay hojatay hain..”Moreover US Air chief has just called Weatherman Sri Narendra Modi for his great idea of using clouds to do airstrikes. pic.twitter.com/HXoPYEpJ3T

Indian radar doesn’t catch information escaping about Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi because they escape in cloudy days.
