The Delhi High Court on Thursday, once again adjourned the case of the disclosure of the 1978 batch result of Delhi University’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) students. Prime Minister Narendra Modi claims to have graduated from the course in that year, but there is no conclusive official record of the same available publicly.
Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who is representing the university, asked for an adjournment in the matter, which was granted by the court.

Right to Information (RTI) activists had earlier sought for declaration of the results of all the students who had graduated from DU’s B.A course in 1978. DU had then refused to impart any information claiming it was a third party’s personal information.
Earlier in 2017, Delhi High Court had put on hold Central Information Commission’s (CIC’s) order which directed DU to allow the inspection of records of 1978 batch students.
Several institutions seem to be bending over backwards to prevent office sources from making public any information on PM Modi’s educational qualification.
