In the past few years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never failed to mention that India has not made any progress in first the 70–odd years of independence, and that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is be the only party to take India on a path of ‘development’ and ‘glory’.
To lambast the PM’s repeatedly asserted false claim, Twitter user and political analyst Sadhavi Khosla gave a detailed breakdown on what the country’s —and its past governments’ —achievements have been, when the current PM was nowhere in the Indian political scene.
Khosla starts off with India winning the 1948 war with Pakistan, a time —she notes —when Modi was even been born. She, then, talks about the construction of the Bhakra Nangal and Hirakud dams, hosting of the Asian Games and the establishment of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), all while Modi was too young to understand their significance.
