Around 50 health department workers have reportedly been put on notice for failing to meet the requisite target for male sterilisation drive in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. These officials have received a stern warning that if they fail to bring men for the upcoming sterilisation drive, punitive action will be taken against them.
In a meeting held in Raipur, state officials have reportedly reprimanded Bilaspur’s Chief Medical Health (CMH) Officer Dr. Bharat Bhushan Borde for not meeting targets of male sterilisation when such drive was held the previous time. Accordingly, Borde asked his officials to meet the set target which, in turn, was directed to health department workers.
“I am not aware of any notice being sent to any official about cases not being brought for male sterilisation,” Dr. Borde told Dainik Bhaskar.
