Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal was caught exaggerating on Twitter.
Goyal shared a video of the Vande Bharat Express or Train 18 and wrote, “It’s a bird…It’s a plane…Watch India’s first semi-high speed train built under ‘Make in India’ initiative, Vande Bharat Express zooming past at lightening speed.”

The spelling of lightning, however, should the least of anyone’s concerns, for the video that Goyal shared was sped up. Several Twitter users pointed this out to the minister.
Indian minister tweets an edited propaganda video in an obviously “fast-forward” mode. You guys are such a disgrace.

While everyone appreciates the success of #Train18 project, please don't share such a doctored video – the video speed has been increased to show a faster train.
Sharing the original clip here. Train is undoubtedly fast – 180 kmph.
Let's wait for Bullet Trains to do 300kmph! pic.twitter.com/5auBQNmDJi

Here is the original video, this part runs for 24 seconds here, @PiyushGoyal ji fast forwarded it to save our time. So it's not a bird, it's not a plane, it's just a careless editing by a drunk karyakarta. pic.twitter.com/GuCmw2epsu
