Former Congress MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal has denied rumours of joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.
On February 22, a journalist tweeted about BJP President Amit Shah’s impending visit to Hisar on February 26, wherein he claimed, “Naveen Jindal may join BJP; 7-8 MLAs from different parties may also join, along with.”

A visibly agitated Jindal, slamming the journalist, said, “This is fake news. The least you can do is to pick up the phone and check with me or my office before tweeting such gibberish. Wonder where you get your information from”

The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd chairman had previously represented the Kurukshetra constituency in Haryana as a Congress MP.
