Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti on Wednesday, January 23 slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah’s remark where he “assured” Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs that “they need not fear NRC”.
Bharti took note of the conspicuous omission of Muslims from Shah’s statement and said, “What Hitler spewed for Jews and subsequently Germany & mankind suffered, is unabashedly being uttered for Muslims!”

Adding that “Bigotry begets bigotry” Bharti advised “First you become a good human then only try to be a leader, else your followers and people suffer!”
Shah had made the remark during his pre-poll rally in Malda, West Bengal. There has been huge controversy over the National Register of Citizens which excluded about 4 million people from it’s first draft.
