The Madhya Pradesh government is not putting any effort in constructing washrooms for women officers at police stations across the state, Dainik Bhaskar reported on Friday.
The Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has shown insensitivity towards the women workforce by not constructing restrooms and toilets in 60 per cent of the police stations across the state.
Out of the 1095 police stations in the state, 696 do not have washroom facilities for women.
The Finance Department has also rejected a plea submitted by Police Headquarters, requesting for release of funds for construction of restrooms and toilets for women at police stations stating that the government administration hasn’t approved it.
