Kishorilal, a Dalit farmer from Berasia, Bhopal was set on fire by four goons, in front of his wife on Thursday.
The four men threw petrol on Kishorilal and burnt him alive, while his helpless wife kept screaming for mercy, Dainik Bhaskar reported.
These four men, now in the custody of police, forcefully took over Kishorlial’s land which was leased to him by the government in 2002.
On Thursday morning, when Kishorilal arrived at his farm, he saw these men cultivating his land and running tractors, Kishorilal protested.
After mouthing slurs and threatening Kishorilal, three men forcibly held him and another started pouring petrol on him. Kishorilal was later taken to a nearby hospital by his son where he succumbed to his injuries.
The four accused in this case have been identified as Prakash, Sanju, Balbir and Teeran. The police have now arrested all the four culprits.
