The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has asked its students to register for the next semester between December 28 and January 3; a time frame appears to be very short for the students.
It is noteworthy that December 29 and December 30 fall(s) on a Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The New Year’s Eve and the first day of the new year too fall in these seven days.
Commenting on the schedule, former Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) vice-president Shehla Rashid said that these are “new forms of harassment”. “Looks like JNU Administration wants as few people to register for the next semester as possible,” she added.
