Inflow of remittances to India declines by USD 4,30,00,00,000

India received USD 61.29 billion in remittances in 2016-17, which is a decline of USD 4.3 billion compared to the previous year, according to details provided by the government.

Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh said India had received USD 65.59 billion in remittances in 2015-16 against USD 61.29 in 2016-17.

It was USD 69.81 billion in 2014-15, he said.
