An employee of Dena Bank from Gandhinagar, Gujarat alleged that she has been the victim of molestation, stalking, and voyeurism. She also said that higher authorities were uncooperative after she informed them of her plight.
A series of tweets from the #MeToo India Twitter account mentioned that the employee was sexually harassed by her colleague in the public sector bank and when she tried to shift to Shahpur branch, her transfer was stalled.

She says she was kept waiting for almost 10-15 days after Dec 20 to speak to the chairman. She was being “pressurized to sort out” the matter. She says higher authorities were “uncooperative and insensitive”. After her complaint, CCTV installed in accounts dept. #DenaBank

“The culprit used to give me warnings regarding my posting matter with the help of Higher Authorities of Bank and Management. More-ever it is painful when our respective Chairman Sir used this sentence, “ye to normal hai bus me auto me ye sab ladkiyo ke sath hota hi hai”.

Recently she says she came to know that they have sent acknowledgement to the concerned authorities which states that she is satisfied with the action taken. She has written to the @MinistryWCD among many others. Please can you look into her case? @NCWIndia

According to the Twitter thread, when the victim, an assistant manager at the bank, discussed the issue with the chairman, she was told, “Ye to normal hai. Bus me auto me ye sab ladkiyo ke sath hota hi hai” (This is normal. In buses and autos, girls have to face this situation). She alleged that she was also “pressurised to sort out” the matter, and higher authorities were “uncooperative and insensitive”. Moreover, the employee said that she had to wait for almost 10-15 days when she tried to speak to the chairman.
The most significant blow for the victim, however, was when she recently found out that the bank authorities sent an acknowledgement to the concerned higher authorities stating that she was satisfied with the action taken — when none was taken at all. The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) refused to accept her complaint when she had filed one on August 23, 2018, she said.

The #MeToo India twitter account also linked a tweet to the thread that supposedly belongs to the victim’s account, where she mentioned that she had written and spoken to Dr Kirti Solanki, a BJP MP from Ahmedabad West on the issue.
The #MeToo India account has alerted the Women and Child Development Ministry and the National Commission for Women on this matter.
