A day after Bharat Bandh, petrol prices touched a new-high on Tuesday at Rs 80.87 per litre, and Rs 88.26 per litre in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively, ANI reported.
Diesel prices also continued to rise as it was sold at Rs 72.97 per litre in the national capital. Whereas in Mumbai, diesel price touched the mark of Rs 77. 97 per litre.
On Monday, opposition parties, led by the Congress, called a nationwide strike against the constant rise of fuel prices and degradation of rupee against US dollar.
As many as 21 opposition parties, both national and regional, participated in Bharat Bandh.
