After months of torturing the general public with soaring fuel prices, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on Thursday announced a petty reduction of Rs 2.5 per litre on both diesel and petrol prices across the country.
Notably, petrol prices increased by at least Rs. 25/litre this year, ten times the reduction announced by Jaitely.

Additionally, the union minister was generous enough to urge the state governments to follow the Center’s footsteps and cut down the rates of petrol and diesel.
