Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Alok Verma submitted his response to the report by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) after the Supreme Court granted him additional time to make the submission on Monday, November 19.
The apex court had asked Verma to reply by 1 pm today. The reply to the CVC report was overseen by retired Supreme Court Judge AK Patnaik.
The next hearing of the case is scheduled for tomorrow. It may be noted that the CVC — which is probing corruption charges against Verma — was pulled up by the Supreme Court for a delayed submission last week.
