Three-time Delhi Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit passed away on Saturday, July 20 in New Delhi at the age of 81. Sheila Dikshit had reportedly been ill for a long time.
A senior Congress leader who served as the national capital’s chief minister for 15 years, the news of Dikshit’s passing was met with grief from across the board. Many hailed her as one of the best chief ministers Delhi had seen. They praised the development the capital had witnessed under her rule. From urban infrastructure to the Delhi Metro, Deikhsit had a lot to her credit.
