As Telangana residents geared up to vote on Friday, December 7, many individuals found their names missing from the voters’ list. Multiple tweets with #whereismyvote hashtag surfaced on Twitter.
While some individuals were shocked to see their names missing from the list, others said that their family members’ couldn’t cast their votes due to Election Commission’s fault as their names were not there.
Badminton player Jwala Gutta even questioned the fairness of the election procedure when she found that her name was also not on the list.
Here are some tweets.

I have travelled so long to cast my vote and faced the same issue. Checked multiple times in the list and also online. Could not find any traces of it.
I have casted my vote last time. It is very shameful that EC/Govt doesn’t maintain the data records properly. #whereismyvote https://t.co/j9gnO2oNaV— Tarun Bharadwaj Chilakamarri (@me_chilakamarri) December 7, 2018
