Congress president Rahul Gandhi took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its president Amit Shah on Thursday, November 22 after Sandeep Tamgade, the Chief Investigation Officer (CIO) named Shah as one of the “principal conspirators” in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case. Tamgade testified before a special CBI court on Wednesday, November 21.
In a tweet, Gandhi said, “The Gita says you can never escape the truth and so it has always been. Sandeep Tamgadge has called Amit Shah a “key conspirator” in his testimony. It’s completely appropriate for the BJP to have such a man as its President.”

Gandhi’s tweet comes two days after another CIO, Amitabh Thakur, in his testimony in the same fake encounter case, had said that Shah had received Rs 70 lakh from Ahmedabad-based property developers, the Patel Brothers.
