Ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s Rally In Mandsaur, Government Officials Ask Victims’ Parents Not To Meet Him

Ahead of the Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Kisan Samriddhi Sankalp Rally’ in Mandsaur today, parents of Abhishek Patidar, who died in Mandsaur farmers’ protest last year, said the Sub-Divisional Magistrate has asked them to not meet Gandhi.

During his visit, Gandhi will meet family members of farmers killed in police firing a year ago.

According to ANI, “Parents of Abhishek Patidar, who died during Mandsaur farmers’ protest last year, say, ‘SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) called our other son and asked who among us will meet Rahul Gandhi. When my son told him that my parents are going, the SDM said asked them to not meet Rahul Gandhi.”

According to a TOI report, State Congress posted through its official Twitter handle that administrative officials are making calls to the victims’ families threatening them against attending Rahul’s public rally organised to commemorate the deaths.
