Having announced a waiver on farmers’ loans merely hours into taking forming the government, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has come through another poll-promise by announcing supply of canal water for irrigation.
CM Baghel has reportedly declared that this year, the Chhattisgarh government would provide canal water to farmers for irrigating crops in this Rabi season. Arriving at the Garia Bandh district for the first time since the assembly polls, CM Baghel addressed the Sahu community and spoke about several issues.
Seeking people’s opinion on issues such as prohibition in the state, the Congress chief minister assured them of implementing liquor ban in the state. Baghel also spoke about the Rajim Kumbh, saying that it would now be renamed to Rajim Punni Mela. He also assured them that there would be a change in Mela’s format.
