A minor boy was stripped naked, hung upside down from a tree and brutally thrashed for five-eight hours on suspicion of theft on June 24 in Firozabad.
The accused, who is the owner of a steel plant, alleged that the 14-year-old boy had stolen a few steel pipes.
The victim claimed that he was hung from a tree for over five hours and assaulted for three hours by the owner.
The father of the victim alleged that the owner had taken his son to the factory and then assaulted him. The factory workers were filming the entire incident.
Later, the owner took the minor to a police station, but due to the lack of evidence, police dismissed the owner’s allegations.
“The boy was beaten up on allegations of theft. We have arrested one person, and are investigating the matter,” said Senior Superintendent of Police told ANI.
