  • Bihar: Four Labourers Die Of Asphyxiation In Septic Tank

Four labourers died due to asphyxiation and another labourer fell unconscious after entering a newly constructed septic tank in Bihar’s Saharsa district today, police said. The incident happened at Sonvarsha Raj Bazar under the jurisdiction of Sonvarsha police station when the labourers had entered the septic tank this morning to remove the scaffolding, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Saharsa Sadar, Shambhunath Jha, said. The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) today criticised the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for still not announcing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of different Kharif crops. “Now, the monsoon has arrived in the entire of Odisha as well as the country. A woman forest ranger and a forest guard were allegedly thrashed by local people who suspected them to be part of a gang of child-lifers in Singrauli district, police said. The incident took place at Medholi village yesterday when Waidhan forest ranger Trusthi Singh and guard Brijesh Bagri were travelling in Singh’s personal car, said Murwa area police inspector Narendra Raghuvanshi.
