After multiple EVMs and VVPATs were reported to be faulty during Kairana Lok Sabha elections, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate Tabassum Hasan on Monday wrote to the Election Commission.
In around 175 polling booths across Shamli, Kairana and Noorpur, Hasan wrote in her letter.
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) MP Jayant Chaudhary also tweeted about the issue. Chaudhary called it “some sort of systematic anarchy”.
Hasan is the joint opposition candidate against Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) Mriganka Singh, daughter of ex-MP Hukum Singh.
उप चुनाव में जगह-जगह से EVM मशीन के ख़राब होने की ख़बरें आ रही हैं, लेकिन फिर भी अपने मताधिकार के लिए ज़रूर जाएँ और अपना कर्तव्य निभाएँ.
