Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb’s wife has filed for divorce on April 26 citing
CNN-News18 reported that the Bharatiya Janata Party leader’s wife Niti Deb filed for divorce at the Tiz Hazari court in New Delhi.

Biplab Deb was sworn in as the chief minister of Tripura in 2018. He is known for making inflammatory and communal statements.
In April 2018, Deb had claimed that internet and satellite existed during Mahabharata.

However, since as reports were received about the divorce being filed under the Section 10A (dissolution of marriage by mutual consent) of the Indian Divorce Act, this article has been accordingly updated.
