Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Fatima Rasool Siddiqui, who was the party’s candidate from Bhopal in the 2018 Assembly election in the state, has reportedly refused to campaign for Sadhvi Pragya Thakur who has been nominated for the Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.
Patrika reported that commenting on the Malegaon blast accused’s nomination, Siddiqui said that the party has made a wrong decision. She also said that Bhopal’s tehzeeb is that of Ganga-Jamuni and that she had not joined the party to do “politics of Hindu-Muslim”.

Siddiqui said that there are several leaders who could have been nominated from the Bhopal seat, like MP Alok Sanjar, Mayor Alok Sharma and MLA Vishwas Sarang, Patrika reported.
The BJP leader reportedly added that she does not think that Thakur will win the election, and her candidature will adversely affect party’s prospects on other seats.
