Moradabad: BJP Workers Thrash EC Officer on Voting Day (Video)

As Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad set out to vote on Tuesday, workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were seen beating up the presiding officer at booth number 231.

In video grabs shared online, the workers are seen thrashing the poll official as the paramilitary personnel watched. The incident reportedly took place at the polling booth in Muradabad’s Bilari.

10 seats in Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha are voting in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 23.

Earlier in the day Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had demanded accountability from the EC over reports that large-scale EVM malfunctioning was taking place in the state as well as other parts of the country.
