Priyanka Gandhi‘s appointment as AICC general secretary for Uttar Pradesh east has taken social media by fire. On Twitter, keywords like #priyankagandhi, #PriyankaEntersPolitics, Priyanka Vadra, and General Secretary have dominated the Indian trends.
But it isn’t just India where Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is being discussed. As per Amitabh Dubey, policy coordinator for the All India Professionals’ Congress, #PriyankaGandhi has been also trending in Dubai, Singapore, Vietnam, Russia and New Zealand.

At the time of writing this, while Priyanka Gandhi was still visible in the trends for Dubai and Singapore, there was no sign of the hashtag in trends for Russia, Vietnam and New Zealand.
On worldwide trends, ANI reported that #PriyankaGandhi was on the number one as of 2:30 PM. Other related phrases namely AICC General, Priyanka Vadra and Congress General were trending on 14, 15 and 18 positions respectively in the worldwide trend. NewsD also reported that in the top 20 trending topics in India, as many as 13 topics were about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
