The price of the 14.2 kg, non-subsidised Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders has gone up to a mind-boggling high around Rs. 1015 — in Bidar, North Karnataka. Prices of the non-subsidised cylinders are hovering around the Rs. 1000-mark across the state.
Reportedly, the prices of LPG cylinders are determined on a monthly basis unlike petrol and diesel prices that are determined on an everyday basis.
In Hubballi, non-subsidised LPG cylinders cost Rs. 962, while in Bengaluru and Belagavi, a cylinder cost Rs. 941 and Rs. 956 respectively. In comparison, in April 2018, non-subsidised LPG cylinders cost around Rs. 670 in Hubbali, and Rs. 654 and Rs. 666 in Bengaluru and Belagavi respectively. In Bidar, in April 2018, a non-subsidised LPG cylinder cost Rs. 721.
In Mangaluru, the price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidised cylinder is around Rs. 921. In April 2018, in Mangaluru, a non-subsidised LPG cylinder cost Rs. 630.
