Major DP Singh on Sunday called out Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre for using Indian Army’s Polo Ground in Secunderabad, Telangana to hold a political rally.
An order dated October 13, signed by Lt. Col. AK Singh grants permission to the saffron party to conduct National Convention of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha from October 23-28.
Sharing a copy of the order, Singh said it is “another degradation of #IndianArmy…One side forces are being used to clean up spoiled things due to misuse/corruption by civilians. On the other hand things kept intact are being opened for their use.”

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also slammed the BJP and asked if the Indian Army has now become a “wholly-owned subsidiary” of the party.
Disgraceful. Since when has the #IndianArmy become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BJP? https://t.co/qDV9tItyNQ
