On Friday, an Uttar Pradesh police constable in Lucknow shot dead Vivek Tiwari because the latter didn’t stop his vehicle after being gestured by the police officer.

Later in the day, Tiwari’s wife Kalpana Tiwari sought explanation citing that, her family brought BJP government to power ‘with a lot of trust’ and were very happy Yogi Adityanath became the chief minister. She then adds, “Was he a terrorist that the police shot at him?

Tiwari’s brother-in-law, Vishnu Shukla had said, “Is it Jammu and Kashmir that you can kill anyone on mere suspicion. This is Uttar Pradesh and not Jammu and Kashmir.”

Responding to “why are webeing treated like this” question asked by Tiwari’s family, Twitter user Suhail explained that when one “enthusiastically vote for a goon, a history-sheeter who is proud of the multiple charges against him for violent crimes and oppression against minorities,” there is little grounds to be outraged when you end up being treated how minorities have been treated all along.
