Fuel Prices Continue To Rise, Petrol Just 20 Paise Away From Touching Rs 90 Mark In Mumbai

Fuel prices continue to escalate across India on Saturday. The revised rates for petrol and diesel in Delhi stood at Rs 82.44/litre and Rs 73.87/litre respectively.

In Mumbai. petrol is merely 20 paise away from touch the Rs 90/litre mark. Diesel in Mumbai was sold at Rs.78.42 per litre, reported NDTV. 

Since January 1, 2018 petrol price in Delhi has increased by 15.4 per cent from Rs 69.97 and diesel prices have gone up by 22 per cent.

The Opposition has criticised the Narendra Modi government for its failure to curb the rising fuel prices.

Earlier this month, Congress’ chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala had said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had failed to address the issues concerning the country and the party’s motto was to “Break, Jam and Perish.”

BJP’s stoic silence on real issues like petrol hike, inflation, falling rupee, failing economy and Rafale Scam has once again proved its indifference to sufferings of people,” Surjewalahadtweeted.
