Following the news of the Muzaffarpur shelter home abuse scandal, several trolls on Twitter attacked actor Swara Bhaskar for not reacting to it the same way she had to the Kathua rape and murder tragedy.
Following the rape and murder of the 8-year-old girl from the Bakerwal community Kathua and the rallies by Hindu right-wing groups to support the rape and murder accused, Bhaskar had posted pictures holding a placard that said “I am Hindustan, I am ashamed,” in protest of the gross injustice.
However, after the Muzaffarpur abuse came to light, trolls on Twitter are asking why Bhaskar isn’t staging a similar protest.
Twitteratis found a humorous way to point out that these questions should be aimed at the elected government – by referring to Swara Bhaskar as the “Prime Minister” of the country who must resign, and trending the hashtag #SwaraMustResign
