Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in Parliament was broadcast as a prime time show at every news channel on Friday. However, the speech was boring, sprinkled with jargons, lacking substance and the prime minister even stooped down to a low level imitating the accent of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
Here are 10 tweets that tell us why PM Modi’s speech was uninspiring and monotonous.
Unfocused
Disagree if this was Modi showcasing himself he was totally meh & lacked any focus https://t.co/fLEBzNdkdj

Excessively boring and long winded speech from @narendramodi , he sounds disconnected from real issues.

Reading from notes, like a nervous school kid
Even Mahajan looks so sleepy! And Modi reading from a paper.

What’s with the accent?
Prime Minister behaved like a troll when he mimicked accents of rival leaders. Low on substance; low on quality; low in delivery. #ModiLiesInParliament

Why mimick the Italian accent? Can't think of another prime minister who would stoop so low. Give me a hug, any day

Did you say something new? We doubt that.
All comedians are jealous of Modi ji kyonki wo 4 saal se same material kar rahe hain aur unka fan-base complain bhi nahin kar raha!

No surprise element in Narendra Modi’s speech. Flop effort. Not new. Same rhetoric. Today was Rahul’s day!
Modi speech rating: 6.5/10#NoCofidenceMotion— nikhil wagle (@waglenikhil) July 20, 2018
The Prime Minister was known to be a brilliant orator but this is a dreadfully dull speech. It is the political equivalent of Sachin Tendulkar choosing to bat like Geoffrey Boycott.

Substance? What’s that?
Bizarre! For the first time in the history of no-confidence motions has the PM’s reply been so disconnected with reality. What he is saying has nothing to do with issues raised by the Opposition and his own allies. #NoConfidence
